غلب تومورهای ریوی غیر قابل جراحی بوده و نیازمند استفاده از سایر روشها برای درمان می باشد . این روش تکنیک سوزاندن بافت تومور با استفاده از امواج مایکروویو در بدن می باشد و بعنوان درمان مکمل در جراحی توده های ریوی و شیمی درمانی و رادیوتراپی نیزاستفاده می شود که برای اولین بار در کشور که در آذر ماه 93 در مرکز تصویر برداری pardis noor جهت درمان یک بیمار 55 ساله با تومور ریوی ارائه گردید و نتایج بسیار خوبی داشت .
