The technique involves the ablation of tumors using high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) under MRI guidance.
This technique is currently FDA-approved for the ablation of uterine fibroids and bone tumors.
This technique has been implemented for the first time in Iran at the Pardis Noor Nilo Imaging and Radiotherapy Center.
